The New York City Dyke March is a protest march, not a parade.
The NYC Dyke March is a demonstration of our First Amendment right to protest and takes place without permits or sponsors. The march is organized by and for the Dyke community to fight for our collective rights, safety, and visibility.
Thousands of Dykes take the streets each year celebrating our diverse lives, highlighting our presence, and protesting the discrimination, harassment, and violence we face.
Any person who identifies as a Dyke is welcome to march. The march celebrates Dykes of all gender expressions and identities, orientations, races, ages, religions, abilities, classes, and immigration statuses.
